I rode a 2019 Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro last winter and here’s why. As a touring trail snowmobiler, I log thousands of kilometres each season in a variety of provinces. Some if its just for fun, but much of my snowmobiling is work-related. It generates touring articles as Supertrax Magazine and Motoneige Quebec Magazine.

Why Renegade Enduro Works for Me
So my creature-comfort on a snowmobile trail is paramount. I don’t want to be distracted from collecting information for you on another great snowmobiling experience. This can happening by riding a snow machine I’m either not familiar with or that doesn’t deliver exactly what I need to get my job done. You may have different riding style, needs or priorities, so choose whatever brand and model suits you best. I’m just answering the often-asked question: What sled do you ride?

Part of Ski-Doo’s popular family of crossover sleds, the Renegade Enduro is as close to the perfect trail touring sled as I’ve ever ridden. And the good news is that this same great snow machine is back again for 2018. I operated it all winter in some of the best and some of the worst conditions I’ve encountered in many years of sledding. Throughout, that Renegade Enduro delivered consistent and reliable performance, handling and comfort in every instance.
Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro Features
As a high miler, I couldn’t ask for anything more from my sled. That’s exciting for any snowmobilers in the market for a new sled this winter. This REV-XS platform sled is back with all its advanced features like Pilot TS Adjustable Skis, rMotion Rear Suspension with Air Ride, RAS 2 Front Suspension and an Ice Ripper XT Track, all available online. What’s more, a new heated seat became standard since 2017! And that means I get to ride this great snowmobile again with a warm butt. And that my comments are still relevant for your 2020 sledding buying decision.
Enduro Engine Choices

The 2019 Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro came with four Rotax® engine choices – 600 H.O. & 800R E-TEC 2-strokes and 900 ACE & 1200 4-TEC 4-strokes. Plus, a new ACE Turbo! Last winter, I rode Enduro’s with both the 900 ACE and 1200 4-TEC engines. In the past, I’ve also put a full season’s use on both E-TEC’s, albeit not in a Renegade Enduro.
So I’m pretty familiar with what each engine does. And while they’re all good, since 2017 I’ve gone with a Renegade Enduro 900 ACE. Based on last season’s experience, it just feels right for me and my kind of riding. Plus, no other engine can beat its fuel economy – on snowmobile tour I’ve squeezed up to 350 kilometres out of one full tank of gas!
Customizing My 2019 Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro

To further customize the 2019 Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro for my long distance touring needs, I added many Ski-Doo accessories. An adjustable high windshield with side deflectors and mirror kit. A full body skid plate, tunnel scratchers, LinQ brackets, handle bar muffs, auxiliary LED light, and a glove box extension. No wonder the Renegade Enduro proved itself as my ultimate touring sled. And that’s exactly why I’m going with the new one pictured below for 2020!
